Brookhaven College is a community college of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). The college opened in 1978 as the seventh DCCCD college and serves to educate about 9-10 thousand students each semester, plus an additional 8 thousand in the continuing education program. Brookhaven offers associate's degrees in arts and sciences, applied science, arts and sciences for business majors, and nursing. Brookhaven College has a total of 467,000 square feet of building space divided among 17 buildings.
